Trying to weld aluminum

i have the mig welder and was successfully welding steel with it but now i wanna try myself with welding aluminum. Do i need gas to make that happen or i can wire welding aluminum without gas?

Yes of course you need gas. Just an inert one though. Pick between argon or helium, you're good to go. After all MIG means metal inert gas welding so, of course, you need gas.
