Struggling with Emmegi software on my CNC setup

I've been trying to run my small CNC for aluminum profiles using Emmegi software, and I'm running into some frustrating issues. The interface feels powerful in theory, but I can't seem to get it to handle some of my custom tool paths properly. Every time I try to set up a batch run, it either misplaces cuts or the simulation shows errors that don't make sense.
On top of that, integrating non standard tools is a nightmare, the software either refuses them or forces me to do a ton of manual adjustments. I feel like I'm spending more time fighting the software than actually running jobs.

I'm only starting with Emmegi, but I noticed CAMplus is their main 3D programming tool, and there's also DriverCAD if you need to import from Inventor or SolidWorks. Maybe your toolpath errors come from using CAMplus without the right module? Worth checking if DriverCAD is available for your setup. Have you tried Swapping modules and redoing a simple profile?

bcs of the software issue, it might be good to use a more user friendly CAM program like Fusion 360 to generate your tool paths.
You can design your parts and create your Gcode there, and then import it into the Emmegi software to run the job. This lets you use a more intuitive interface for the hard part of programming while still utilizing the Emmegi machine's capabilities.

I need help
For misplaced cuts, double-check your profile origin in the software and make sure it matches your machine's zero. Even a tiny mismatch can throw everything off. As for the tool issue, I know a few who create a dummy tool in the library with the correct dimensions and speeds to trick the software into using it. It's a pain, but once it's set up, it works.

yes indeed. Fusion 360 has a great tool library where you can manually define any tool you want, down to the exact diameter, flute length, and material. Y
ou can then program your tool paths around those specific tools, and the software will create the correct Gcode for you. It completely takes the manual adjustment pain out of the process
