Excitech CNC DSP error

my Excitech CNC router with a DSP controller is suddenly refusing to run files. I can see my program on the U-disk, but when I hit OK to start the spindle, nothing happens.
even worse, the factory sample files in the inner memory now show garbled Chinese characters and won't load.

when I try to run a file from a different USB stick, I get an error saying that the inner memory is not enough, and need to delete some files.
I haven't manually saved any files to the internal storage, so why is it full?
is the memory corrupted? Should I format the DSP or just delete the factory samples? Looking for tips from anyone who has fixed this

I’d try the basics before touching internal memory. Power cycle fully, reseat the U disk, try a known small simple file, and make sure the USB is a format the controller likes. Some of these DSP units get picky about stick size and file system.

That sounds like the DSP’s internal storage table got corrupted, especially with the factory samples turning into garbled characters. On an Excitech CNC DSP controller, I’d treat the internal memory as suspect first, not your U disk files.
