Underway with my DIY CNC, seems to be going okay so far. 1000mm x 1500mm incorporating a saw bench and a routr table.

Looking good so far. Consider mounting a sturdy cage around your step motors to keep them safe from banging into things and knocked out of alignment with the lead screws.
