Humidity making your sensors go nuts too?

It’s been humid again this week, and I swear my sensors are acting up more than usual. I’ve had a couple of false triggers on the tool changer and a few readings that just don’t make sense until the shop air dries out. The machines run great when the AC’s holding steady, but as soon as the air gets heavy, the little gremlins show up. Anyone else seeing the same thing? I’m wondering if it’s just the moisture messing with signal stability or maybe the cables soaking up the humidity. Thinking of running a dehumidifier overnight to see if it settles things down. Curious if anyone’s had luck managing sensor reliability when Florida air decides to turn into soup.
 
wondering if I was just being paranoid, but it really does feel like humidity messes with everything. My tool zero sensor keeps throwing errors after a rainstorm. Might try sealing some connectors or adding silica packs inside the cabinet before I go buying another sensor.
 
Moisture in the air can mess with both sensor accuracy and cable insulation, so it’s not surprising you’re seeing odd readings. Some shops run a small dehumidifier near the machines during peak humidity. Have you noticed if the false triggers happen more after the machines have been idle for a while?
 
I’m still figuring out the whole humidity thing myself but yeah the weird readings definitely get worse when the air gets heavy. I read that some sensors get sketchy once moisture creeps into connectors or poorly shielded cables. Makes sense because mine calm down once the AC dries the place out.
 
Humidity makes my sensors act like they’re haunted. One minute they’re perfect, next minute they’re screaming for no reason. A cheap dehumidifier saved me a ton of headaches. Florida air doesn’t care about your workflow.
