HAAS GM-2-5AX vs. 7075AL

I don't wanna overwhelm you guys on the first look so this the TLDR...

I want to know how reliable the Haas GM-5AX for machining is when holding up a 2400lbs of aluminum machined off one part monthly, or should I just fold this hand and move on to the next option? I've got all the details I know you need, so ask away. I have plenty of time to discuss this.

I think you can try to reach out to haas and advise them of what you intend to use the machine for. To be honest, I doubt that the machine can hold up to the task but I may be wrong

2400 lbs monthly off one part is a serious load. think about longterm wear on components like the spindle bearings and linear guides.
 
I don't think haas has a machine that can handle something you want. You might wanna look at okuma or makino have a few models that can handle that. Keep in mind they'll be considerably pricier, so keep that in mind

Looks like the GM-2-5AX is a good fit for you. It can handle a 6,000 lb table load, so your 2,400 lb part won't be a problem. The rigidity is fine for aluminum, but if you're planning on heavy machining or tough cuts, you might want to consider the optional B/C-axis brakes. Overall, it's a solid machine for the kind of work you do.

Agreed, that checks out. The 6,000 lb capacity should be plenty, and those B/C axis brakes will keep things rock solid when you're dealing with tough cuts or high torque. Should be just right for aluminum and normal jobs
