G540 E-Stop wiring for safety

I'm looking at the Gecko G540 wiring and noticed an issue. The schematic shows an E-Stop on the AC line, but I’ve heard cutting AC power to steppers is a bad idea.
So I wonder, hould it go on the Enable pin (Pin 10), or is a full power-cut better? I want a safe setup that won't fry my drives or leave the motors wandering.

I’d use the Enable pin for normal E-stop function and reserve full power cuts for true emergencies.

You’re thinking in the right direction, best practice is using the G540’s enable/charge pump logic for E-stop, not hard cutting AC under load.
