anyone heard of Centroid ?, they are a very viable control solution and best part is they build the hardware and write the software for their controls. They've been doing CNC Machine motion control for over 30 years. anyway, they have a forum now where you can visit for any centroid specific questions, they might have a lot of experts that can help

Yes, Centroid is solid. Integrated hardware and software gives them tight control. Their sound like a great resource for CNC-specific help.

Their Acorn and Hickory kits look promising, especially with the CNC12 software. How's the support on their forum? Do they help with tuning servo drives or just basic setup stuff?

They've been around forever in the CNC world. Pretty solid reputation and their systems a lot more integrated than some of the mix and match options out there. Cool to hear they've got their own forum now

Just getting into CNC myself, helping a friend retrofit an old mill in his garage. I've heard of Centroid but haven't used their stuff yet. Do their controls work well with older machines, or are they mostly for newer setups?
