I do small home-improvement projects year-round like cabinet doors, trim pieces, the occasional cutting board and I’ve noticed the hardwood stock feels a bit tougher now that the temps have dropped. I’m wondering if anyone here actually tweaks their feed or spindle speed once fall hits. Do cooler temps (and lower humidity) make enough difference in density to matter, or is it just in my head? I’ve been getting slightly more chatter and a rougher finish on oak lately. Curious if you guys slow things down a touch or just power through with sharper bits.
