CAT40 holder during measurement?

I'm considering moving away from relying solely on the machine for measurements and getting into more external measuring tools. I already have a good height gauge and a granite table, but I'm curious, what do you all use to hold CAT40 holders during measurements? Is there a precision female taper designed for this kind of setup?

@Double 07 you can use collet chuck, I use the Bosch one for a while and it works great

Wow. Precision game on, I suppose? Usually, there's a cast iron or steel you can use for that. I think you can get an inspection fixture from Techniks or Lyndex-Nikken. Whichever is more accessible.

diy works but you should check out tecnicrafts or lyndex Nikken, both have cat40 holders, pretty good ones

Great choice,I've been down that path as well. I've got a CAT40 tool holder fixture with a precision-ground female taper set up on my granite. It really simplifies dialing and checking for concentricity off the machine. I'd definitley suggest picking one up
