Calculation for working out axis movement

Hi, I am trying to tune the movement of the axis on my cnc lathe. I have tried to use a downloaded revolution calculator but it’s giving mad answers. So can anyone please let me know the formula for calculating the movement ratios for axis movement. Thanks.
 
To find the steps per millimeter, you can use this formula: (Motor steps per revolution × microsteps) ÷ lead screw pitch = steps per mm. Typically most stepper motors have 200 steps per revolution. What are your microstep settings and screw pitch? Once you have that info just plug it in and you'll be good to go.
 
If not directly connected you also need to adjust to suit the gear ratio between the stepper/servo and leadscrew/ballscrew.
 
Relying on online calculators for tuning CNC axis movement is a waste of time. Most of them give garbage results because they're based on generic formulas that don't account for your specific machine's backlash, motor specs, or mechanical losses. You're better off calculating manually and testing directly on your setup
 
Hi, the pitch of the leadswitch is 2.5mm. The motor sprocket is connected to the leadscrew sprocket by belt and it takes 1 turn of the motor to 2 turns of the leadscrew sprocket. The CL86Y driver is set to 10,000 microsteps.
