my welder is down at the moment and i'm working on a small shelflike project for myself using aluminium extrusions and i need to put the pieces together. my question is what do you guys use to glue aluminium to aluminium?

I'm not an expert but i can recommend two options. epoxy adhesive like Loctite or mma (tons of options here) both of which will probably do a decent job. regardless of which one you go for, make sure to prepare the surface before doing anything

For alum to alum, I'd recommend using a strong adhesive like loctite H8000 or JB weld's epoxy. Both are designed for metal bonding and will hold well, especially if you're not welding. Just make sure the surfaces are clean and scuffed up a bit for better adhesion, but if you're looking for something quicker, even a good two part epoxy could work for smaller projects like yours.

Use the epoxy adhesive, it's strong and helps a lot

For bonding aluminum, I'd suggest using a two-part epoxy such as Loctite Epoxy Weld or J-B Weld. These options create a really strong bond, making them perfect for projects like yours. Just remember to clean and lightly sand the surfaces beforehand, it'll really help with the adhesion. If you're short on time, Gorilla Epoxy is another great alternative. Just keep an eye on the working time, and you should be all set
