Missing settings on a Daewoo Puma 200

I'm new to CNC work and just started looking after a Daewoo Puma 200 with a Fanuc Oi-TF controller. The machine runs okay, but we don't have the full list of settings for some reason. I'm trying to set up tool offsets and alarms, but I'm not sure what's missing or how to check the original settings. If anyone knows an easy way to get them back or where to look, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I think you should be able to get it from a backup if the previous operator saved them, otherwise you'll need to contact Daewoo support or the Fanuc rep for the original machine data

Welcome to the world of CNC! Most critical machine settings should be backed up on the Fanuc controller. First, check the Parameter or System menus. Just be careful not to change anything you aren't sure of. Then for tool offsets and alarms, check the Offset or Tool Management menus. If you get an alarm code, you can look it up in the Fanuc Oi-TF manual, which you can likely find a PDF of online. But for the missing settings, I'd agree with @Double 07 that it's best to contact Daewoo or a local distributor. They might have the original parameter backup files.

Honestly, don’t trust random settings from a similar machine unless you verify them line-by-line. If you load bad tool offsets or mismatched alarms, you’ll get crashes. Use any backup you find only as a guide, not a final source.

@m0rning-runner Before contacting Daewoo, I advice you to check if the previous operator saved the parameters directly on the Fanuc control itself.
On that Oi-TF controller, look for the All Data Backup option
Sometimes the machine automatically saves a full backup file with a .000 or .FNC extension to the internal memory or the built in CompactFlash/PCMCIA slot. It's a long shot but worth the quick check!

Thanks for this. If we do a full reset, will we lose spindle or turret alignment settings too? And are those usually stored in the same parameter set?
