What made your CNC jobs finally repeatable and reliable?

Think back to when you had a job that ran fine once but would not repeat the same way the next day. What was the first thing you changed that made it reliable.

Some shops lock down setup and fixturing first. Others standardize tool management and offsets, or they tighten up how they verify parts and adjust wear. What was your first move, and what clue told you that was the weak link.

Drop the change you made and what improved. Less scrap, less babysitting, more predictable finishes, tighter size control, faster setups, whatever your win was.
