help with tire valve core geometry

im working on machining the geometry for a tire valve core directly into a part as i dont have the space for a separate fitting. yhis means i need accurate valve stem dimensions and male threads for the cap. while i found bits of information im struggling to get a complete set of specs with tolerances. my attempts to reach manufacturers havent been fruitful likely because most are overseas. if anyone has detailed measurements or knows a reliable source for this information would appreciate the help. Thx
 
Great choice adding the valve core. You'll need a 0.305-32 TPI (8V1) thread for the stem, and the cap should be around 0.307-32. The internal threads for the core are 0.209-36 (5V1). If you can, check out DIN 7756 for the specs. Schrader's documents might also have what you need, though they can be tricky to find.
 
@cuts&circuits you are a lifesaver with those thread specs and the DIN 7756 tip. That really pulls me out of a tough spot! Dale, many thanks for confirming the Schrader catalog and for trying to share it. Knowing those resources exist is a guiding light.
 
If you're machining it straight into the part, those thread specs from @cuts&circuits are on point. But still double-check with a thread gauge if you can, just to play it safe.

I'm really glad to hear that! Finding those specs can be tricky, but once you have them, everything just falls into place.
