Wrapping up some year-end work and I’m getting parts that measure perfectly but don’t look as clean as earlier in the year. Finish is a bit rougher and chatter shows up in spots that used to be smooth.
I haven’t changed tooling or parameters, so the colder shop environment is the only thing that really stands out. Feels like winter is quietly reducing rigidity just enough to show up in the finish, even though tolerances are still holding.
Curious if others see finish quality slip during colder months or if this is just my reminder to revisit the setup.
